Nox is an innovative material widely used on Longoni cues. Thanks to its peculiarities, it made possible to improve gaming performances and to extend creativity.
Nox is composed exclusively of solid Ayous sheets, an African wood very light, dyed in slabs, 0.8 mm thick, in ebony colour and subjected to special treatments and considerable pressures.
These layers of real wood, in order to be able to tie together and make a single body, are also impregnated with particular resins with high technological content to guarantee solidity and stability over time.
In the Longoni cues Nox is used mainly where the weight is a key factor ; thanks to its 380 kg per cubic meter indeed, Nox is an ultra-light material with a look very similar to ebony.
In order to guarantee high level performance, however, the internal structure of the Longoni cues with Nox is combined with a wood whose specific weight is definitely higher: both with solid core and xylocore techniques.

Nox Silver - Technology with star dust

Nox Silver has the same characteristics of Nox but microscopic metal flakes giving silver reflections to the whole cue are dispersed in the glue.

Nox Plus - The nox completely made with European wood

Nox Plus is a variation of normal Nox where wooden layers are obtained from the European linden tree instead of Ayous. It is much darker and smoother to touch even if with a bigger weight than the normal Nox (480 kg per cubic meter).
It is chosen where the weight factor of the cue is not extreme and where there are many small-shaped inlays.

Il Nox è composto esclusivamente da fogli di massello di Ayous, un legno africano molto leggero , tinti in lastra, dello spessore di 0.8 mm, dal color ebano e sottoposti a trattamenti speciali e a pressioni considerevoli.
Queste strati di vero legno , per potersi legare insieme e fare corpo unico, sono impregnati anche di particolari resine ad alto contenuto tecnologico al fine di garantire la solidità e la stabilità nel tempo.
Nelle stecche Longoni viene utilizzato essenzialmente dove il fattore peso è fondamentale , infatti grazie ai suoi 380 kg per metro cubo, il Nox è un materiale ultraleggero con un aspetto estetico molto simile all'ebano.
Per garantire performance di alto livello, comunque, la struttura interna delle stecche Longoni con Nox viene integrata con un legno di peso specifico nettamente maggiore: sia con tecnica solid core che xylocore.
